February CONNECT – Join us for our Super Bowl Chili Cook-Off on Sunday, February 8 at 6:15pm.
- If you are able to bring a chili or help with drinks/chips, please click here. There are also sign up sheets on the back wall of the auditorium. We will watch the game, eat good food, and place our prop bets. There will be crafts and games available for the kids. (Please note: Sign Up Genius has changed how their page works. When you click on “Sign Up” at the bottom of your screen you will need to click on “Save and Continue". It will take you to a new page and you’ll need to fill out your name and then click on “Sign Up Now” and the process will be done.) Please reach out to Bethany Wirkkunen (bwirkkurkkunen@yahoo.com) if you have questions about food.
- At halftime, we will do a devotional and then (unofficially) end. Those who want to stay for the rest of the game (and help clean up) are more than welcome to stay. We will be here until a winner is crowned!
- We are still looking for a Clean-Up Coordinator. Someone who can stay until the end to help clean up and return the auditorium to its original setup.
Thank you for helping make this CONNECT event a success!

Between Life and Death Forum and Book Club - Last Sunday Noel announced our plans to host a community forum this October, hosting Dr. Kathryn Butler - author of the above book.
OFTEN, LIFE CAN CHANGE IN AN INSTANT AND HAS IN THIS CASE. Kathryn has had to cancel her commitment. She kindly recommended a Canadian doctor - Dr. Ewan Goligher, an ICU doc from Toronto General Hospital. Sandy has invited Dr Goligher who is able to join us on Friday, October 16th. He too has written a book; "How Should We Then Die?" Our plans continue, to host the Forum Friday, October 16 and Saturday, October 17.
Because a couple of people have already started reading Kathryn's book, our Book Club - will continue with the original plan to read "Between Life and Death, A Gospel Centered Guide to End of Life Medical Care" by Dr. Kathryn Butler.
We are still looking for 4 more people to purchase the above book and read the first few chapters by February 27, when we will gather at the church building to discuss. We will read the rest of the book by March 27 and meet again, 6:30 pm. at the building to discuss.
Please email Sandy with your interest. resillient979@gmail.com
