We are blessed to be able to support a number of local and international mission efforts. We provide regular updates from these ministries and regularly have representatives from these ministries come to Tintern and share what God’s been doing in their context. At least once a year, a group from Tintern travels to connect with our mission partners and receive mutual encouragement.
Safe Families hosts vulnerable children and creates extended family-like supports for desperate families through a community of devoted volunteers. Safe Families bridges the gap between the church and Canadian child welfare agencies and support local churches in growing their relational ministry to families in the communities.

Micah 6 serves the daily needs of their community and neighbours in Pontiac, Michigan. Micah 6 grows healthy food, makes sure their neighbours are known, kids are resourced, and services are accessible.
Ralph and his wife Twyla have worked with the Maasai village in Tanzania since 2016. Living and working in the community there, they have initiated the development and setup of rainwater collection systems to provide a clean water supply.
Jason and Cintia Kumalo serve as Directors of The Haven, a children's home in Zambia, where they provide safe, loving, family-style care for vulnerable children alongside their two daughters, Marisa and Arya. They also serve as house parents at Eric's House, walking closely with older boys as they prepare for independence through mentorship, discipleship, and daily life together. Their heart is to see each child known, loved, and equipped for a hopeful future.
Joel was born and raised right here in our community, and now pastors Mito Church of Christ in Mito, Japan, alongside his wife and Associate Minister Hiroki Akahoshi. Joel has served the Mito Church since 2010. The Mito Church is active in their community and seeks to live out Jesus’ mission as a church body.
Ruth Zimmerman has been involved with the mission in Papua New Guinea since 1992. She resides in Lae, where she works to educate students at the Melanesian Bible College. Ruth is very involved with the congregations in Papua New Guinea and has dedicated most of her adult life to ministering the people there in a variety of roles.
