Vision

Mission

Developing followers of Jesus for the benefit of the world

What We Believe

Jesus is the Son of God, fully God and fully man. Jesus died and rose to life again 3 days later. Because of what Jesus did, we have access to eternal life. When we believe in Jesus, make Him Lord of our lives (this includes repentance) (Acts 2:38), and participate in His crucifixion and resurrection by way of water baptism (Rom 6:3-8), we are clothed with Christ (Gal 3:27), and our sins are forgiven and cleansed (1 John 1:9). At salvation, we receive the gift of the Holy Spirit, who resides within us, empowering us to keep in step with repentance and follow in Jesus' steps (Phil 2:13).

The Bible is a collection of 66 books, authored by men and inspired by God. The Bible is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness (2 Tim 2:16-17). It is our main source of authority, and the standard by which all sources (tradition, logic, and experience) must be checked. The Bible is the infallible, living Word of God (Heb 4:12).

The Church is not a place or a building, but the people of God. The Church is the bride of Christ and make up His body (Eph 5:23-32). God partners with His Church to enact his will on Earth and usher in the Kingdom of God. We gather together to worship, be mutually edified and challenged, to devote ourselves to the Bible's teachings, to corporately discern where God is moving in our community and how we are being invited into it, and to do life together (Acts 2:42).

Our Story

"Why We Love Tintern"

OUR VISION

To be a people of peace
to the Town of Lincoln.

We believe that God has placed every one of us where we are for a reason. Here at Tintern, we seek to frame all that we do in the work that the Holy Spirit is already doing in the world.

We gather in order to grow each other in faith so that we can enjoy a relationship with God and help others around us do the same. We desire reconciliation, peace, and love for our immediate and worldwide communities.
