Church in the Park - A few things to let you know regarding Church in the Park:
  1. There will be no online service while we are at Charles Daley Park.
  2. Worship starts at 10:00 am. We will be providing coffee and a light snack at 9:30 am (with food safety guidelines being followed).
  3. Remember to bring a lawn chair and wear sunscreen. If you would like to stay and have a picnic lunch you are welcome to do that (be sure to bring enough for anyone you invited).
  4. In the event of inclement weather we will meet at the building (an email will go out to confirm a change of location - no email, no change).
  5. Please hold on to your donation for next week when we are back at the building.
Making Space in September - This week over dinner with your family or over coffee with a friend, can you start a conversation about what it could look like to be intentional about leaving space for our neighbours?

A few ideas to get you started
-Can we give up TV for the month?
-Can we have our morning coffee on the front porch?
-Can we give up 1 of our 21 meals each week to have a meal with a neighbour?
-Can we delete our social media apps for the month?
-Can we sign up for the community care food drive?

We would love to hear the creative ways you come up with to make space and activities you plan for time in our community.

Promotion Sunday - On Sunday September 11th as we start our Fall quarter we will be having our promotion Sunday. We will have our kids go to the front so we can pray over them and move kids up to their new classes. This is the week we encourage you to select a few children to pray for this year. We are so blessed at Tintern with all our Tintern Kid's and it's our privilege to have them in our church family.

Wednesday Night Kid's Classes - We had a break from kids classes for Grade 8 and under during the summer. We will return on Wednesday September 14th at 7:00pm. We will have our Grade 1 and Under Class, Grades 2-5, Grades 6-8 (EPIC), Highschool (TRUTH), as well as an adult class.

Wedding Shower - Julie Walker and Kerri Kennedy invite you to a wedding shower for Emily Whitfield on Sunday September 25th from 12:00 to 2:00 pm at the building for the ladies. Julie and Kerri are collecting money for a group gift. Here is the link for Emily's registration at The Knot  https://www.theknot.com/us/emily-whitfield-and-benjamin-shore-oct-2022/registry

New Wednesday PM Bible Class This Fall - God is Working! - In a cultural context that increasingly finds it difficult to believe that we can encounter and experience the living God, we explore several different stories in both the Old and New Testaments where God is working. These stories will not only help us craft an imagination of God working in our midst, but also help us see where God is working. This class is hosted by the Newmarket Church of Christ, taught by Dr. Nathan Pickard. It is starting on Wednesday September 7th at 7pm via ZOOM and in person. If you have any questions contact Noel or Margaret.
