Light of the World - In Theatres Across Canada September 5, 2025. An ordinary boy, an extraordinary faith. Set in AD 30,Light of the World brings the story of Jesus to life in a powerful and visually stunning 2D-animated feature. While many awaited a Messiah who would conquer through power, few expected a humble teacher who would transform hearts instead. But for a group of young fishermen and outcasts—John, James, Peter, Andrew, and others—their lives are forever changed when they encounter the man called Jesus.
Told through the eyes of the Apostle John, Jesus’ beloved friend, this moving retelling follows His journey from the start of His ministry through His crucifixion and triumphant resurrection. With breathtaking animation and a heartfelt narrative, Light of the World invites audiences of all ages to experience the life, love, and message of Jesus Christ in a fresh and deeply personal way. A story of hope, redemption, and eternal truth, Light of the World reminds us that the Light still shines in the darkness—and the darkness has not overcome it.
