Handicap Parking - Reminder to please leave the three to four parking spots close to the new middle entrance doors for those with mobility issues.

Making Space in September - This week over dinner with your family or over coffee with a friend, can you start a conversation about what it could look like to be intentional about leaving space for our neighbours?

A few ideas to get you started
-Can we give up TV for the month?
-Can we have our morning coffee on the front porch?
-Can we give up 1 of our 21 meals each week to have a meal with a neighbour?
-Can we delete our social media apps for the month?
-Can we sign up for the community care food drive?

We would love to hear the creative ways you come up with to make space and activities you plan for time in our community.

Teacher/ Helpers Needed in Children's Education Ministry - Thank you to everyone who has signed up so far. The board is up still and we're particularly looking for teachers/helpers in the Fall quarter. If you have any questions, speak to Crystal Cann. Thank you in advance!

A/V Ministry - We are looking for someone (or a small group of people) to coordinate Audio / Visual Ministry here at Tintern. The role would be involved in scheduling volunteers to help at the back of the auditorium during worship as well as facilitate the livestream broadcast on Sunday mornings and the posting of a sermon recording. Training is available. Contact Noel if you are interested in helping out. Thanks.

Monthly Kids Challenge - Our last kids draw will be this Sunday, August 28th!
In our Grades 2-3 and 4-5 classes they're learning about wisdom all month. Your challenge is to share with us some wisdom. It can be some wisdom you have or ask someone for their best piece of wisdom. To be entered in the draw comment on the Facebook post on the Tintern Kid's Facebook page, tell your Sunday school teacher or tell Miss. Crystal some wisdom.

Sunday School Picnic - Our Sunday School picnic is THIS coming Sunday August 28th at 3:30. We will be gathering on the church lawn for fun and games for all ages. Pack some food for a picnic afterwards, We will provide drinks and dessert. RSVP is not required but if you are coming and bringing children with you please sign them up on the table in the entranceway or let Crystal or Lindsay know so we can group the kids accordingly.

Wedding Shower - Julie Walker and Kerri Kennedy invite you to a wedding shower for Emily Whitfield on Sunday September 25th from 12:00 to 2:00 pm at the building for the ladies. Julie and Kerri are collecting money for a group gift. Here is the link for Emily's registration at The Knot  https://www.theknot.com/us/emily-whitfield-and-benjamin-shore-oct-2022/registry

Church in the Park - Sunday September 4, 2022 you are invited to join us at Charles Daley Park at 10:00 am. We will be providing coffee and a light snack at 9:30 am. Remember to bring a lawn chair and wear sunscreen. Feel free to share with family and friends. If you would like to stay and have a picnic lunch you are welcome to do that (be sure to bring enough for anyone you invited). In the event of inclement weather we will meet at the building (an email will go out to confirm a change of location - no email, no change).

New Wednesday PM Bible Class This Fall - God is Working! - In a cultural context that increasingly finds it difficult to believe that we can encounter and experience the living God, we explore several different stories in both the Old and New Testaments where God is working. These stories will not only help us craft an imagination of God working in our midst, but also help us see where God is working. This class is hosted by the Newmarket Church of Christ, taught by Dr. Nathan Pickard. It is starting on Wednesday September 7th at 7pm via ZOOM and in person. If you have any questions contact Noel or Margaret

Village of Hope Niagara's August Food Drive Porch Pickup - The areas in Jordan-Vineland-Campden for porch pick up will be this coming Saturday August 27 during the hours of 10AM-12PM. Our shelves are always stressed with ever increasing numbers of Lincoln residents who seek support from Village of Hope Niagara to stretch their home budgets a little further each month. If you're able, please give - food or funds.

With every increase in an interest rate, with every price increase at the supermarket, with every rent increase at the end of the month, our neighbours in need are falling further behind. Village of Hope Niagara reaches out with assistance to alleviate hunger, reaches out with help for the shelter insecure. Your donations make our work possible, while there is need. Please give, if you are able. villageofhopeniagara.org

Be a Good Neighbour - Remember to check in with family, friends and neighbours. Also, local food banks are increasingly in need of food. Watch out for info regarding food drives in your area.

Prayers - We encourage you to check out our website www.tinternchurchofchrist.ca. In the "Prayer Hub" (top right corner, click on the button) is where you will find our list of prayers. You can add prayers as well.
